Sonata gives small agenciesOperating intelligenceof an enterprise.
The strategic, financial and pipeline thinking enterprise teams take for granted, in one place: it manages your messages and calendar, sets strategy, runs initiatives, and works pipeline, customers and contacts in a built-in CRM — all in one service, more integrated and cheaper than the stack of tools it replaces.

Friday 31 July
Good morning
Priority
Two things need you before nine, and £12k has now been overdue for forty days at an account with nobody left to chase.
She has asked twice and the review is in fifty minutes. Studio Moth are twelve days past your nudge.
Draft the status note →£15.5k of proposals cannot be reissued until you do.
Confirm the tiers →Ravi left and took the relationship with him. The £12k and the account recover together or not at all.
Find a way back in →Fourteen active. Two are waiting on a decision from you.
Cash is comfortable — £48.2k, about eleven weeks at your current burn. What is not comfortable is that £12k of the £31.4k you are owed is forty days late.
Fixed fee does not cost you margin. Nine of eleven studios held or improved after switching — I have not rewritten anything.
Sonatachecked in at 06:40
Morning. Two things need you before nine — Maya first, because the review has a clock on it, then the ARPU tiers because £15.5k is waiting behind them.
The thing I would not let slide: Halvorsen has been overdue forty days and there is nobody there to chase since Ravi left.
One memory, not five tools
Every other tool holds a piece. Sonata holds the whole thing.
Your mail is in one place, your deals in another, your plan in a document nobody has opened since January. Sonata reads all of it into a single shared understanding of your business — so the answers know about each other.
Who holds the account
Cover, not org charts
It knows who actually talks to each client, not who is written down as the owner — so you can see where the business rests on one person.
Where the revenue sits
Concentration you can feel
Because it reads the invoices and the threads together, it can tell you that more than a third of the year sits with one client — beside the sentence that matters.
Where it went quiet
Silence, measured
Nobody tracks silence, so it is the thing that costs you. Sonata measures each gap against how that relationship normally behaves and speaks up while it is still fixable.
Nothing here was typed in by you. It is read from the mail, calendar and invoices you already have — which is why it stays true next month, when nobody has updated anything.
Instead of five subscriptions
The stack you were about to assemble — and the part every piece leaves to you.
Each of these tools holds a fragment and quietly expects you to be the one keeping it true. Sonata is the layer they all assume someone else is providing: one shared, accumulating picture of the business, kept current from your own activity.
An AI assistant
Copilot, Gemini, a chat tab per person
It answers whoever asked and remembers per person — its memory belongs to a seat, and it has no idea what a deal, a retainer or a cash position is. It waits to be asked; being the one who remembers to ask is still your job.
One shared memory per business, not per seat. It holds deals, retainers, commitments and money as real things, and it raises them unprompted — “Meridian is at day 11” arrives with the reason attached, before you thought to ask.
A CRM
The one you bought and stopped updating
It is a database that is only as true as the last person who fed it — and you are the feeder. Most agency CRMs are three weeks stale by February, which is exactly when the warm prospect hits day 14.
Client and pipeline state is read, not typed. Who decides, what was promised, what is owed and where it went quiet — assembled from the mail and calendar you already have, so it stays true when nobody updates anything.
An initiative tracker
The board with the cards nobody moves
It tracks the tasks someone remembered to type in. The work that spans months — the hire, the rebrand, the retainer push — never fits the board, so it lives in your head instead.
Initiatives read from real activity. Whose move it is, what moved this week, what is drifting and what the drift will cost — taken from threads, meetings and invoices, not from card-dragging.
A strategy consultant
Or the away-day deck from January
A deck that was true once, in a file nobody opens. Nothing connects the quarter you planned to the week you are actually having — so drift is invisible until it is expensive.
Your positioning and ICP live inside the system that reads your week. Every lead call, priority and draft is filtered through what the business is trying to become — and when you refine the strategy, Sonata tells you what it touches.
A second brain
Notion or Obsidian, wired to an AI
You are the librarian. You build the knowledge layer yourself, feed it every evening, and watch it rot the first week you are properly busy — which is the week you needed it.
The knowledge layer builds itself from your own traffic, and compounds: every correction, decision and quiet week is remembered — for the whole team, not one person’s vault.
That is the enterprise part. Big companies fund an ops function to hold this picture together — and even they do it manually, in status meetings and stale pages. Sonata is that function made automatic, opinionated about how a service business of this size actually runs, for less than the stack it replaces.
The product
The tools you were going to buy separately, already knowing your business.
A CRM you never have to update. Initiatives that track themselves. A strategy that is actually in the room. All of it in one conversation, and all of it out of the same memory.
One short read, before anyone needs you
At seven, a push with the two sentences that matter. Tap through and the brief is your live state, not a snapshot: what moved overnight, what slipped, who needs you today — written out in sentences, in the order it matters, with the one-line reason attached.
Every underlined phrase opens its evidence beside the sentence: the thread, the invoice, the eleven days of quiet.
Two things moved overnight. Harlow & Co came back on the March proposal and want revised numbers by Friday — the draft is waiting. Meridian has been quiet eleven days since the scoping call.
On money, £14,200 is now past thirty days, all of it Northgate.
The CRM you would actually keep up to date
You would not keep it up to date — so Sonata reads it instead. People, accounts, history, who owes what, what was promised and when it went quiet, all assembled from your mail, calendar and Xero. No pipeline hygiene, no forty features you never open, no separate subscription.
Xero is read-only. Sonata never moves money, and never chases a client without you.
Signs off scope. Replies fastest in the morning.
Promised on the 6th, against the reduced scope.
INV-2240. Nothing overdue on this account.
Your largest single client by fee income.
The work that spans months, tracking itself
Hiring, a rebrand, moving four accounts onto retainer — the things that never fit a task board. Sonata keeps each initiative as a living thing organised by the question that matters: whose move is it? Yours, theirs, or nobody’s — which is what drifting means.
Progress is read from real activity — threads, meetings, invoices — not from someone remembering to drag a card.
Twelve months, from 1 September.
Went quiet after the price came up on the 10th.
Not raised since June. Their finance contact changed.
Renewal lands in November — start in October.
Your positioning, in the room for every decision
Sonata learns your positioning and ICP in one guided conversation, then keeps them as a living artefact the whole team can see and refine in chat. From then on, every judgement downstream is filtered through them — which inbound leads matter, which follow-up gets drafted first, which work is drifting from what you set out to be.
When the strategy changes, Sonata says what it touches — the in-flight drafts and priorities that will use the new frame.
Brand-first design for founder-led consumer businesses — premium, not volume.
Founder-run, £1–5M, a marketing team of one or two.
In-flight drafts now use the new frame — tap to review before they go anywhere.
For the whole team
The sharing problem is not a small-business problem. It is everyone’s.
Even enterprise teams run on status meetings, stale project pages and research that lives in one person’s head — sharing the day-to-day is manual everywhere, and full of gaps. Sonata makes it automatic: one live picture everyone reads, one memory everyone’s work feeds. Every plan includes unlimited users, because that is the whole point.
Unlimited users, one subscription
Priced per business, never per seat — adding a junior never raises the bill, and nobody gets left outside the system.
It starts before you do
A push at seven with the two sentences that matter; tap through and the brief is live state, not a snapshot.
A research base that builds itself
Notes, captures and research land in one searchable store, linked to the clients they belong to — and resurface when they matter.
One shared memory, fed by everyone
Corrections belong to the business, not one person’s chat history — everyone’s answers improve at once, and nothing leaves when someone does.
It notices the gap before it costs you
Silence is measured against how each relationship normally behaves — and raised while it is still fixable, with the reason attached.
Human in the loop
It drafts. You decide.
Sonata does not send an email, reply to a client or move money on your behalf. It writes the thing you were going to write, shows you exactly what it read to write it, and then waits for you. Nothing leaves your account without your tap.
- No cold outbound, ever. It never emails strangers — no AI SDR, no sequences, no risk to your sender reputation.
- No auto-send by default. Hands-off cadences exist per channel — but only you turn them on, and you can turn them back off.
- No per-seat pricing. Adding a junior never raises the bill.
- No training on your data. Encrypted, isolated between workspaces, yours.
Hi Priya — thanks for coming back on this. I’ve revised the numbers against the reduced scope we talked through on the 6th, and taken out the discovery phase you already have covered internally…
Written from 14 messages in this thread and the March proposal.
Pricing
One subscription for the business, not a price per person.
Sonata’s watching — reading and filing your mail, the morning brief, calendar, pipeline and cash — runs continuously and never stops, even at zero credits. Credits are spent only when you put Sonata to work: chat, drafting, meeting prep, research. Run out mid-month and nothing goes dark: Sonata keeps watching and showing; the doing pauses until you top up (one-off, from £20) or the month rolls over.
£69 /month + VAT
See the plansFounder: up to 10 mailboxes and 1,000 credits a month — comfortable at ~3,000 emails. Studio (£220/month + VAT): up to 20 mailboxes, 2,500 credits, ~12,000 emails. Small Enterprise is a conversation, not a price. No free tier, no trial.
Before you buy
The honest answers.
What do you need from me to start?
A Google or Microsoft work account. Connecting takes about two minutes, then one guided conversation teaches Sonata your positioning and ICP — and your first picture of the business is live within the hour. Nothing is read until you are set up.
Will it email my clients?
No. It writes drafts and waits for you. Sonata does not send email, publish, or take an external action without an explicit action from you.
Is there a free trial?
No — there is no free tier and no trial. Plans are billed monthly through Paddle as merchant of record, and you can cancel anytime — the subscription simply runs to the end of the period. Refunds follow our refund policy.
Do I have to replace my other tools?
Not on day one. Sonata reads what those tools were being fed by hand, so the CRM and the project tracker have less and less reason to be opened.
Is my data used to train models?
No. It is encrypted, isolated between workspaces, and never used to train models. Every processor we use is named on our subprocessors page — and if you ever leave, your structured data (contacts, pipeline, initiatives, strategy versions) exports cleanly.
Is this cold outbound with better manners?
No. Sonata never emails strangers and never will — no AI SDR, no sequences. It works the leads you already have: inbound enquiries, warm-but-stalled deals, dormant past clients — so none of them rot from neglect.
Do I have to build the knowledge base myself?
No — that is the point. There is no wiki to write and no vault to garden. Sonata builds the knowledge layer from your own mail, calendar, captures and research, keeps it current, and shares it with the whole team.
What if it gets something wrong?
Tell it, and it learns the preference from your own data rather than asking you again next week. Everything it says shows what it read, so you can check before you act.
Everything it needs to know is already in your inbox.
Connect your work account, and Sonata starts reading the moment you are set up. Tomorrow morning, the brief is waiting.
